OKR: Objective and Key Resuts
OKR, short for Objective and Key Results, is a widespread organizational methodology used to align coworkers towards measurable goals. The Objectives are your goals, the general direction of your project. Each Objective is divided into a few Key Results, which help to keep track of the progress made towards the Objective.
Starting from Seedble's idea and following up with Netfarm's developers, we created a stand-alone Odoo module, available for the Community version and the Enterprise version alike. To show what it can do, let's make a simple example: Noah's ark.
Noah’s main Objective is to save a couple of every animal on Earth. To accomplish this, he has to build an ark (Key Result 1), gather the animals (Key Result 2), and evaluate how much time he hasto do these things before the great flood (Key Result 3).
Each Key Result can be split into other activies, so for example before starting to build the ark, Noah has to garther enough wood and set up a construction site.
Our module can also interact with the standard Odoo Project module, by creating a Project from a Key Result.
